Biography
With nearly 20-years’ experience as a practicing clinician and expert in the fields of public health, business administration, and project management, Dr. Nkem Okeke is a Kaizen-spirited healthcare executive who has carefully honed an ability to lead large multidisciplinary care-delivery teams who collectively possess an extensive acumen in:
- Patient-centered, value-based care
- Medicaid and Medicare plan administration
- Population health management and analytics
- Case management and care coordination
- Quality and performance improvement

Since Medicalincs’ founding in 2013, and its launch in 2017, Dr. Okeke has delivered more than $150 million in cost savings, and has improved population health measures by over 50 percent to date. Her working with key stakeholders to establish sustainable healthcare solutions across the care continuum and social settings has garnered a proven record of improving patient experience, health outcomes, and substantial reduction in costs. Dr. Okeke was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She spent her early life growing up throughout West Africa before returning to the US to pursue her "ever-evolving" education, and to consult with industry leaders throughout the Eastern U.S. healthcare spectrum. In addition to being a prominent public speaker, she currently serves as a senior advisor to the CEO at Johns Hopkins Healthcare (Priority Partners) on board-priorities; is a board member of Lasell Village; and was appointed by the Maryland Secretary of Health to serve as a Maryland Health Care Commission Advisory Council member on Primary Care Transformation.
